Product Description
When the train is running and braking, the brake part that directly rubs the wheel to stop the train is the brake shoe; the tile shaped brake block made of cast iron,composite material or other materials holds the wheel tread tightly and makes the wheel stop rotating through friction.
Railway brake shoe other name is railway brake block, train brake block. It is mainly used for the braking of heavy-duty freight cars. It is applicable to railway freight cars with maximum running speed of 120km/h and axle load of no more than 25t.

Composite brake shoes
Composite brake shoes for railway freight cars are divided into two types: one is high friction coefficient composite brake shoe(H), and the other is low friction coefficient composite brake shoe(L). "H" brake shoe cannot be interchanged with "L" brake shoe and various cast iron brake shoes.

Powder metallurgy brake shoes
Powder metallurgy materials are made by taking metal powder as a matrix, properly adding friction agent, lubricant and other components, and pressing and controlling high-temperature sintering (900-1050 ºC).
According to the requirements of braking friction performance, powder metallurgy brake shoes are divided into low friction coefficient brake shoes, standard friction coefficient brake shoes, and high friction coefficient brake shoes.

High phosphorus cast iron brake shoes
In terms of friction performance
High and stable friction coefficient: The phosphorus content of high phosphorus brake shoes is generally between 2.0% and 2.5%. Their friction coefficient is higher and more stable than that of medium phosphorus brake shoes. Under different initial braking speeds, the friction coefficient curve is quite concentrated, providing reliable braking force.
Good wear resistance: The increase in phosphorus content significantly improves the wear resistance of the brake shoes. Their wear resistance is about twice that of medium phosphorus brake shoes, and the service life is more than 2.5 times that of medium phosphorus brake shoes. This reduces the frequency of replacement and lowers maintenance costs.

In terms of safety
Fewer braking sparks: High phosphorus brake shoes produce fewer sparks during braking. Compared with medium phosphorus brake shoes, they can effectively reduce the risk of fires caused by braking sparks in flammable environments, thus improving the safety of vehicle operation.
Higher strength and toughness: By adopting a high phosphorus and low silicon formula and using a nodular graphite cast iron modification method, the high phosphorus brittle zone can be avoided. The brake shoes have a higher strength and toughness than the current medium phosphorus cast iron brake shoes. They can prevent fractures during high-speed braking and are suitable for faster locomotives.

Good heat dissipation performance: High phosphorus brake shoes have good heat dissipation performance. They can quickly dissipate the heat generated during braking, avoiding the decline in performance of the braking system or damage to the wheels due to high temperature, thus ensuring the stability of the braking system and the service life of the wheels.
Less environmental pollution: They cause less environmental pollution during use and have good recyclability, meeting environmental requirements.
Low cost: They are manufactured using ordinary cupola furnaces, with simple methods and low costs. They have good economic performance while ensuring performance.
